The Jail is OPEN EVERY DAY except on Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

Did You Know?Inveraray is an early example of a 'New Town'. The old town was demolished by the Duke between 1750 and 1776 in order that the grounds in front of the Castle could be landscaped. The 'New Town's' first buildings were completed in 1753 and by 1820 the town looked much as it does today.
